What is the Refund/Cancellation Policy?

We strongly suggest purchasing "Cancel for any reason" travel insurance. With this coverage (in addition to illness) if something comes up like a new job opportunity, government furlough, or other unforeseen reason, you will be covered. This option needs to be purchased within 15 days of your trip deposit. We suggest this policy from Travel Guard or another similar carrier: https://www.travelguard.com/travel-insurance/benefits/cancel-for-any-reason. Cancellations before August 17, 2022 will receive a full refund less the non-refundable deposit. Cancellations within 90 days of the trip (after August 17, 2022) will not be eligible for a refund. If the entire trip is cancelled due to any cause outside of reasonable control (war, pandemic, natural disaster, etc.) a full refund including the deposit will be refunded. Reservations are transferable.

Do we have to be vaccinated to attend?

 

Yes. Brazil does require visitors to provide proof of vaccination to the airline.

How do I set up my included ground transportation to/from the resort?

 

You must email your flight arrival and departure information to info@luxcouplevacay.com by 10/15/22.

What airport should I fly into?

 

Guests can fly into Santos Dumont Airport (SDU) which is only 15 mins from the hotel, or Rio De Janeiro International Airport (GIG) which is 45 mins from the hotel. Private roundtrip ground transportation is included from both airports.

What's not included in the pricing?

 

Airfare, travel insurance, personal expenses, spa treatments, and tours booked outside of our scheduled activities are not included.

Do I need a passport to travel to Brazil?

Yes, a valid passport is required. It must be valid 6 months beyond the date of entry into Brazil.

When will I receive the final itinerary?

 

You will receive a detailed itinerary 1-2 weeks before travel. For your travel planning: Our first event will be an evening welcome cocktail party on the 17th at 7:30pm.

Can I be paired with a roommate?

 

Yes. Select this option on your registration form and we will do our best to pair you up..

When is the deposit due?

 

The initial deposit is due no later than 7/31/22.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

A full refund (less your deposit) can be issued within 91 days or more prior to our travel date. Before 10/29. It is highly recommended that you purchase separate travel insurance for additional coverage. If you choose to do so, we suggest that you add “cancel for any reason” to your policy. Although normal trip cancellation will cover you for illness or injury, or for a travel companions illness, injury or death, it is limited to these. With “cancel for any reason” you will receive a percentage (usually 75%-100%) of all pre-paid costs. With this coverage if something comes up like a new job opportunity, government furlough, or other unforeseen reasons, you will be covered. *This option needs to be purchased within 15 days of your trip deposit. Is there a special exception refund policy if all travel is prohibited to Brazil due to COVID restrictions (or any other act of God like war, civil unrest, natural disaster, etc.)?

In the event that COVID restrictions (or another act of God) makes it illegal, extraordinarily hazardous, or impossible for all attendees to travel, all payments will be returned to attendees within 60 days.
